Tally was designed from the ground up to protect your financial privacy. We believe that your personal financial records are sensitive and belong exclusively to you. Tally does not collect, track, sell, or rent your personal data to any third party.
All computational features in Tally—including receipt scanning (Apple Vision OCR), receipt text parsing, and voice transaction transcription (Apple Speech Recognition)—operate 100% locally on your iPhone’s Apple Neural Engine. No photos of your receipts and no audio recordings are ever uploaded to developer servers.
Your transactions, wallets, goals, and recurring commitments are saved locally on your device via SwiftData. If you choose to enable cloud synchronization, your data is securely stored and synchronized through your private Apple iCloud account (CloudKit Private Database). The developers of Tally have zero technical means or cryptographic keys to decrypt or inspect your records.
Tally does not embed third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics frameworks, or trackers. We do not access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and we never track your activity across other apps or websites.
All financial billing transactions for Tally Pro are processed directly by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Tally never receives or stores your credit card details or billing address. Subscription management is handled via your Apple ID Settings.
In accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), you retain 100% ownership of your information. You may export all your transaction records to PDF, CSV, or JSON, or permanently delete all local databases at any time in Tally Settings > Data Management.
